Christian Island Bed & Breakfast
Relax and enjoy your stay at the Christian Island Bed & Breakfast! Whether you are here for business or pleasure, you are bound to enjoy the beautiful scenes of nature all around you.
We are open all four seasons to accommodate year-round enjoyment of the island's recreation. Christian Island is popular with nature lovers, bird-watchers, and for hiking, snowmobiling, fishing (angling & downrigging), boating, swimming, diving, canoeing and kayaking.
You can walk down to the water for a swim, or over to one of the other beaches on the Island to enjoy the sand dunes, partake in your choice of water sport, or to take in the spectacular sunsets or sunrises. There are many trails throughout the Island; some lead to the quiet, peaceful little inland lakes: Jerry's Lake and Lake Douglas. There are also plenty of areas to explore within a short boating distance including Hope Island and Beckwith Island. Opportunities to observe nature, wildflowers — the native flora and fauna — are plentiful.
Perhaps you are interested in visiting Christian Island because of something you've heard or read? Visit the lighthouse, said to be haunted and featured in "Ghosts of the Bay" (as are several other nearby locales). Go diving in search of shipwrecks featured in other books about Georgian Bay. Or just come to see the island Gordon Lightfoot was singing about.
