| Description | The Simcoe County Training Board, a non-government, non-profit local board, designated to identify local training and adjustment needs and provide advice and recommendations to their government partners. With broad public involvement, the Board will gather labour market information, provide analysis of training needs and advise governments on existing training and adjustment programs and provide direction on the need for new programs or services. |

Liaison College Barrie Campus
In order to give the students individual attention, the class size in the Liaison College is kept small at about 15 students. More then seventy per cent of the training involves practical instructions which gives the students hand on experience even while training. The diploma programs are designed to equip the students with skills that are important in the demanding culinary industry. Students can opt for basic or advanced cooking courses. They learn about basic nutrition, kitchen management, culinary techniques, and food theory and quantity food preparation. The diploma courses last between 15 weeks and 38 weeks. -

Northern Ontario Welding School
Northern Ontario Welding School is accredited by the Canadian Welding Bureau and students completing their welding course from here get C.W.B certification. The Barrie College is also approved as a C.W.B test center for testing and promoting existing welders.
